PAB_LivingLab project highlights Air Quality at European Researchers' Night

Last September 24th, the projects PAB_LivingLab, LIFE Index-Air, Hospital Sudoe 4.0, 3SqAir and ClimACT promoted together two Science Cafés about Air Quality, in the scope of the European Researchers' Night.

The initiative took place in two different spaces: in the afternoon the event took place at the National Museum of Natural History and Science and in the evening at the Pavilion of Knowledge - Ciência Viva.

Sharing with the community the importance of air quality through an informal conversation, held in a casual context, and educational games was the main objective of the initiative, which was attended by about 1000 visitors.

The promotion of involvement actions on Air Quality is one of the activities planned under the PAB_LivingLab project, which aims to increase knowledge on this matter and reduce between 0.5 to 5% the concentration of pollutants in the Adão Barata Park (PAB) area, thus improving the quality of life of the population.

PAB_LivingLab – Vive a descarbonização no Parque Adão Barata (PAB_LivingLab – Experiencing decarbonization in Adão Barata Park) is a project that runs from May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2024, financed by the Environment Program of the EEA Grants, whose promoting entity is AIDGLOBAL – Ação e Integração para o Desenvolvimento Global (AIDGLOBAL – Action and Integration for Global Development)–, and as partners the Municipality of Loures, the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, bim+, dstsolar and Innovation Point.
