AIDGLOBAL, in partnership with Formiga Juju and Livros de Ontem, is organizing a presentation, debate and solidarity event in favour of inclusive education in Mozambique next Friday, August 24, starting at 6pm, at Livraria Ler Devagar (LX Factory). The event includes the presentation of the Formiga Juju movement, a photo exhibition and a debate on the theme: “Crowdfunding: an exercise in citizenship?”, with the presence of PPL-Crowdfunding Portugal and the Social Entrepreneurship Institute. In an area dedicated to children, there will be a special appearance by Os Contabandistas, who will perform a staged reading of the children's story “A Formiga Juju na Cidade das Papaias”, by Portuguese journalist Cristiana Pereira, with illustrations by Mozambican artist Walter Zand. Formiga Juju is a social movement promoting reading and creative expression, aimed at children in vulnerable situations. The books produced by the movement are intended for free distribution in schools or institutions and have already been distributed in Mozambique, Angola, East Timor and now Portugal.  The proceeds raised during the event, through the sale of books and photographs on display, will go entirely to the “A Formiga Juju e o Sapo Karibu” project, which will create and distribute teaching materials for inclusive education in Mozambique.
